1:15 - 4:30       Tissue Banking Operations:  Round Table Discussion  (3CME)


The goal of this workshop is to get PA's who are working in tissue banking to share their ideas about all aspect of tissue
 banking.  If your institurion is thinking about setting up a tissue banking operation,  this workshop will help you to understand
many of the logistics and requrements for doing so.

After and Introductory statement from Dr. Mike Jones, The afternoon will be broken up into 20 to 30 minute blocks to discuss  many of the practicle aspects of tissue banking  including:


Consenting and IRB requirements
Choosing type of tissue to bank and ways of preparing tissue
Inventory management
Data management
Personnel requirements
Costs involved and charging for services


We are looking for ideas on how to best put this set up this.   Please share your insite - we are looking for about 10 participants for the discussion.  If you are involved in tissue banking at your hospital and would like to contribute, please contact Rocky Ackroyd  at ackror@mmc.org.
